School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences

A Living Wall provides naturally
filtered air & interior green space

Our school is different. There’s no other way to explain it. You’ll get to know other students and faculty by name - from day one. Since our focus is the environment, nature is your classroom. You won’t spend much time pushing a pencil in a lecture hall. You’re more likely to measure a tree, climb one, or study the wildlife that makes the tree their habitat. We are recognized as one of Canada’s leading schools for careers in environmental and natural resource sciences.

  • Active, outdoor, hands-on learning
  • Field trips, field schools and applied projects
  • Faculty who are experts in their fields
  • Exclusive programs to prepare you for careers in the fast growing environmental sector
  • More grads working in these fields than any other college in Canada = strong network for employment opportunities
  • Check out our Campus Green Map at GreenMap.org

Double the Power of Your Diploma

Most of our two-year diploma programs offer the option to obtain a dual diploma. When you complete semester four of your Technician Diploma program, you can obtain another Technician Diploma in just 2 more semesters:

  • Save while you increase your value in the work world
  • Add another specialization to your skill set
  • Expand your educational opportunities while you increase your marketability
  • Graduate with 2 diplomas in just 3 years

Transfer Agreements

Most of our programs have transfer agreements with universities so that grads can obtain advance standing for their college studies. Notable among these are our 3 + 2 agreements, where students spend 3 years at our School and obtain an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Ecosystem Management, Environmental Technology or Fish and Wildlife Technology, and can then obtain their Honours Bachelor of Science degree at Trent University with just 2 more years of study. See individual programs for these and numerous other transfer agreements available.
