Program Highlights
The exciting 8-month Internet Applications and Web Development Fundamentals program is designed to teach you the skills and abilities to design, create and maintain websites and web applications with a focus on the front-end – the aesthetics or “look and feel” of the website. Virtually all companies, whether large corporations, small businesses, government agencies or non-profit organizations, have or need a presence on the Internet. The ability to create websites, to ensure that they are easy to navigate - and that they can readily be found through search engines - is a critical asset to many businesses.
You will learn the fundamentals of consistent layout, client-side scripting, usability, markup and how to incorporate multimedia elements. In addition, you will have the flexibility to choose from several electives to hone your design skills, or choose elective courses with a programming focus.
